Abstract

The digitalisation of Elderly Social Centres (CSPM) is crucial to adapt to the demands of society and enhance the quality of life for older individuals. This project aims to address this need by implementing technological solutions to improve the well-being of users. It examines the social perception of CSPMs, the effects of digitalisation on their management, and proposes recommendations for successful digital transformation, based on the premise that the introduction of digital tools can transform the experience of older people. Additionally, it analyses communication processes, cooperation, and group cohesion, exploring how they can influence digitalisation and the sense of community in CSPMs. The methodology includes interviews, surveys, pilot experiments, Service Safari, and participant observation. The results revealed entrenched prejudices, internal management difficulties, and lack of communication between centres as challenges to be addressed.
